Alexis Evans, LMFT
Since completing her Master's degree in 2019, she has gained experience working with domestic violence, trauma, identity, sexuality, and diagnoses such as depression and anxiety. Alexis works with clients to deconstruct ways that client’s social location, intersectional identity, and relationships impact experience. Alexis uses her training in Narrative and Emotionally-Focused Therapy to help clients reach their goals and become their best selves. As a female Indigenous therapist, she has a passion for helping clients from marginalized communities to process the challenges of living in a society that hasn't been built with them in mind.
As one of five siblings and a proud member of the Haliwa-Saponi Native American Tribe of North Carolina, you can find Alexis spending time with her family and extended tribal family outside of work. She also enjoys concert-going, rewatching nostalgic movies, and dabbling in interior design.
